I am launching a youtube clone. I expect that after a few days atleast 50 people will be online on my website each and every time. I heard that simple shared hosting plans don't allow more than 20 users to be online on the server at a time. I am not sure about that info.
Please let me know whether I should buy a simple shared hosting plan, a virtual private server, a semi dedicated server or a dedicated server? I don't have money for dedicated server monthly costs.
Plz help

Since you want to host video/audio files, shared hosting will not be any good.
You will be using very high bandwidth and shared hostings don’t allow for that bandwidth though they claim to provide unlimited bandwidth, truth is your site will become very slow and you users will suffer.
Also try selecting web server located in the same country where you expect your users from. Lesser hopping will give quick access to your contents and better experience to your users.
You should try to go for semi dedicated servers. If you are pretty sure about your users and that at least 50 users are using your website simultaneously, your only option seems to a dedicated server which you must buy quickly. Till that you can go with semi dedicated servers for time being. You must prepare for funds for your hosting by paid membership and by proper ad management.
Go with the VPS. Decent performance at a good price…
